In the process of bringing this product to life, making light emerge from within a tatami while preserving its traditional Japanese appearance was an extraordinary challenge. Through trial and error, we found inspiration in "the beauty and intricacy of plant veins" and "the orderly, flowing rows of tatami weave." By incorporating domestically grown natural igusa and layering it with LED technology—without compromising tatami's inherent tactile qualities—we achieved an expression unlike anything before.
